Spyro Reignited Trilogy Brings Accessibility!

Hello, Ability Powered gamers! I have very exciting news for all you Spyro fans out there that play console. There was a patch today from Activison that finally adds subtitles to the new Spyro Reignited Trilogy game. Not only that, but you can now also toggle motion blur on and off to prevent motion sickness! If you remember when the game was released last year, the developers were met with a sea of criticism for not having subtitles at launch. In a statement that blamed lack of industry there was a stand as why it wasnโ€™t included:

“While thereโ€™s no industry standard for subtitles, the studio and Activision care about the fansโ€™ experience especially with respect to accessibility for people with different abilities, and will evaluate going forward.”

Improvements from Activision

I am personally glad to see the developers go back and add accessibility. Hopefully they have learned the huge need for accessibility at launch, and will make sure not to forget how important these features are to gamers across the globe. What do you think? Are you excited to see the changes? Do you think the developers learned a lesson from the outcry? Let me know what you think in the comments!
